The Lacquer Legion - Reinvention

I love the nail polish community! They always come with lovely ideas!

This time Chalkboard Nails, Rebecca Likes Nails, The Nailsaurus and Work Play Polish have come up with a monthly challenge group called The Lacquer Legion! Everyone is free to join and this months theme is Reinvention.

It is an open end, reinvention. So I decided to reinvent tone on tone stamping for this challenge... :)

Tone on tone stamping is something that looks really subtle and I realised that I love the look, however I haven't tried much...

So here is my mani... :)

I used two coatf of Zoya Tru as my base.

Then using Color Club Eternal Beauty, I stamped the image on Mo You London Artist Collection 04 plate. The image is the circles from bottom left of the plate. At first sight, I was worried that they wouldn't fit my nails but they did!!! :)

I soooo love this plate!!!

The pictures are taken with flash. Without flash, it looks so subtle, but wtih the flash it is just sparkly... :)

Nail Mail From Canada

Here's a swap package I've been waiting like forever!!! :)
This is all the way from Canada, from Krystal of the Nailtastic Fun...

She sent it to me on Spetember, but it never arrived... We thought it was lost for good, and she was almost going go send me another one when all of a sudden, it came back to her... :)

We still don't know why it was returned to her, but hey, better returned than lost, huh? And she sent it to me, again! This time it arrived on time!!!

Here's what was inside...

The polishes from left to rgiht are; Layla Pro N 17, Layla Ceramic Effect C292 Mermaid Spell, Layla Mirror Effect Cosmo Lilac, NYX Disco Inferno, Essie Aruba Blue and Essie Turquoise and Caicos... The one in the front is Revlon Chalkboard Nail Art Duo... :)

I was curious about the Layas, so I tried them first.

Here is two coats of Mermaid Spell... It is a lovely purple with shimmer...

I love how it looks on my nails. Application was a pleasure. You can easily wear it alone...

But I wanted to try the Lalya Pro flakie as well... So I have a coat of flakie over Mermaid Spell in the pictures below.

The flakies are in a purple base. And the bottle is huge! It is 17ml! Yay! I searched online but couldn't find a name for it. But I think it may be a dupe of Nufu Oh flakie...

Well, doesn't matter actually, I love it!!!! <3

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR BLOG :)

Wow, I really cannot believe I've been blogging for two years...

A few dyas ago, I checked my very first posts to see the exact date of my blogiversary and OMG, my nails have come a long way... :)

My cuticles and nails were in a terrible state two years ago. I only had a few polishes, and by a few I mean that your fingers were enough to count them... And my designs and stamping were, pmffff....

I really have learned a lot in these two years. And I learned them all from blogger friends. I follow many bloggers daily, and I get inspired from them a lot. So if someone learned something from me, or got inspired from my blog, I'm happy...

And I have made some great friends, thanks to my blog. It is really nice to know that there are people actually reading your babblings and make comments...

Anyway, thanks for being there for me, all my followers. I wish to continue this blog as long as there are readers... LOL

Enough with the sentimental stuff.. Now, let's move on to a giveaway...

First of all, I am not a sponsored blog. I buy my polish and my prizes with my own money. So I'm sorry I'm not throwing a big giveaway for you guys. I wish I was able to give each of you gorgeous gifts. But this is all I can do for now. I hope you like them... :)

Rules are simple...

- 3 Winners
- Open internationally.
- Enter with the Rafflecoper form below.
- Ends on 14/02, so it is both a blogiversary and a Valentine giveaway... LOL
- Winners have to reply in 48 hours, or I'll pick new winners.
- I am not responsible for lost packages or customs problems. I'll send each package with tracking and that's all I can do. :)

Good luck everyone!

Oh, and I'd love to hear from you... Please comment about anything and everything...

EDIT EDIT EDIT!!!! (23/01/2013 14.45)

After taking the photographs, I was putting away the polishes and one of them slipped and fell to the ground and broke into pieces... RIP Rimmel Precious Stones of Prize #3.... I couldn't find the same polish so I bought two more Rimmel polishes instead. I bought Space Dust Aurora and Space Dust Shooting Star. So the 3rd prize is changed... Please forgive me... :)

My lovely friend Marianne from Rainbowify Me has sent me these mini Kicks polishes for Christmas.

They are totally my colors and the mini bottle is sooo sute!

The mint one is Aquatic and the lilac one is Girls Night Out!

I tried the lilac one first. The formula is a creme-jelly and it needs 3 coats for opacity, but I did 2 coats because I was going to stamp on it anyway...

For the accent nail, I used 2 coats of Face Of Australia Carnivale, Midnight Fireworks. And I stamped a damask design with Barry M Gold.

Loveeeedddd it!!!

Kicks - Sugar Lacquer - Moondust

Kicks was a brand I've never heard of untill my beautiful friend Camilla from Bookpolish sent me...

Kicks is a Swedish brand for those who don't know (like me) and they have a polish line as well as cosmetics... And they have a texture line!!! Yay for me...

The other day I told you that this looks like Rimmel Total Eclipse. Looking at the pictures I know I'm right, but I have to do a side by side comparison as well... (oh 2014, you made me sooo lazy...)

Anyway, this is two coats and a crazy sparkle.... :) :) :)

Do you have any suggestions of this brand? I have to update my wishlist... :)
